An important man in the German electronic scenery, Zurich-born instrumentalist and manufacturer Thomas Fehlmann has brought several diverse acts of the Apostles to Germany to record and collaborate. Beginning in the former '80s, his group Palais Schaumburg amalgamated dance rhythms to the experimentalist flare of '70s German rock. A Detroit-Berlin cultural exchange through the Tresor label originally brought Underground Resistance to Germany, and Fehlmann did his piece by recording singly with Blake Baxter, Eddie Flashin' Fowlkes, and Juan Atkins (as 3MB). A longtime association with another electronica mental institution, the Orb, gave him a chance to criminal record and produce the grouping in Berlin. While managing the band Fisherman's Friend, he positive deuce of the members to shape Sun Electric and produced their Kitchen album.


Though he continued recording throughout the late '90s, his profile elevated significantly when he joined Cologne's Kompakt roster, at in one case becoming the label's senior national leader and unitary of its to the highest degree logical artists.
